Three Days.......
Three days of anxiety, nerves, intensity, of doing their very best and then waiting for the news....
Will weather & field conditions permit them to get outside??? If not, it'll be three days of assessment & decisions in the confines of the gym....
Somewhere between 90-110 kids trying out for about 50 spots total on one of the three teams....
Returning varsity players looking to hold their spots & begin a great Senior year. Seniors who were not selected last year hoping for one last chance....
Juniors trying to make Varsity. Sophomores hoping to make JV. Freshmen, well, being freshmen....
Coaches wondering if they see things "right".... Are they missing something....
Players rooting hard for friends & wondering about themselves....
Moms & Dads trying to figure out what the coaches are looking for and does their son fit....
And then Wednesday afternoon/evening arrives. One by one, players called into the coaches "office" to learn their fate....
High School baseball tryouts....
The three hardest days of high school baseball season.....
